Gradlink Mentoring Programme

The School of Physics mentoring programme is run in conjunction with the Trinity Alumni Office and the Careers Advisory Service. The programme aims to develop current Junior Sophister students’ knowledge of the labour market and career paths, by connecting them to alumni mentors with experience in a range of careers.

What's involved?

Alumni can sign-up to be a mentor for the programme during our call-out to mentors in August/September of every year. Mentors should have a degree from the School of Physics (Physics, Theoretical Physics, Physics and Astrophysics, Nanoscience - Physics and Chemistry of Advanced Materials).

As a mentor you can choose to work individually with a student or with a small group. You can decide to meet directly with a student or e-mentor a student by email or Skype. The focus of these networking sessions is generally professional development and other career-related topics.

How do I sign up?

This year, the School of Physics will participate in Mentoring events run in conjunction with the Alumni Service and the Careers Services. Details of the events can be found here. The School of Physics is happy to provide more details of the event to interested alumni. Please contact by our Global Officer Niamh McGoldrick.
