Nikolaos Peltekis

Nikos graduated from Physics Department in Aristotle University of Thessalonica and specialized in Environmental Physics. In addition he finished an MPhil program in Nanotechnology at University of Newcastle upon Tyne, in electronic an optical properties of a new novel material (nanostructured) Gold Nitride using Synchrotron radiation based spectroscopies(XPS, XEOL, XAS).Currently he is working with metal phthalocyanines (organic semiconductors) through core-level and valence band photoemission spectroscopy, soft x-ray absorption and resonant soft x-ray emission spectroscopy. This investigation seeks to address issues related to energetics, synchrotron-radiation induced beam damage and in particular seeks to compare photoemission results with resonant soft x-ray emission spectra.
