Brian Kennedy

Brian was awarded an IRCSET Scholarship in 2005 to study the electronic structure of magnetic materials using x-ray spectroscopy at Trinity College Dublin. Most of the spectroscopy takes place at synchrotrons worldwide, particularly the Advanced Light Source at Berkeley, California and Maxlab at Lund, Sweden. Intel co-sponsors the scholarship, as the project aims to explain the origins of ferromagnetism in Dilute Magnetic Semiconductors.
