Niall was awarded a first class degree and gold medal in Physics and Chemistry of Advanced Materials in November 2006 by Trinity College Dublin. He is currently working on the capping of metallic nanowires and studying the changes in there properties using RAS and SHG. His project is currently funded by Ircset.
