Overview

We are a newly established group in the School of Physics at Trinity College Dublin, funded through a President of Ireland Young Researcher Award of the Science Foundation Ireland. Our research explores the interplay between structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of functional materials using computational methods. The corresponding effects and materials are of great interest for basic science and in addition have the potential to trigger new technological developments. By elucidating the physical mechanisms behind potentially useful effects with the goal of identifying suitable materials for novel types of devices, our research attempts to bridge the gap between theoretical physics, basic materials science, and technologically important research.

Vacancies:

At the moment we don't have any open positions, but postdoctoral and postgraduate fellowships are available from the Irish Research Council for Science and Engineering (IRCSET). If you are interested in working with us via this scheme, or if you want to inquire about other upcoming possibilities, please feel free to contact us.
