Plato Centre

The Plato Centre is an interdisicplinary research hub which organises and directs a variety of activities in the area of the History of Platonism and contemporary philosophy in the Platonist tradition. Although based in Trinity College, The Centre draws its members from all the major universities in the Dublin area. It combines several subject areas in addition to its core disciplines: Philosophy and Classics.

With its regular Reading Seminars, Visiting Speaker Colloquium, Workshops and Work–in–Progress Seminars, the Plato Centre contributes significantly to the research programme of the Department of Philosophy. Many members of the Department, whether Platonists or otherwise, find a home in the Centre, and participate in its many activities.
