Philosophical Events in Dublin

Events of philosophical interest organised by the Department of Philosophy, The Plato Centre, The UCD School of Philosophy and other Dublin institutions take palce throughout the year. As members of the Department, it is expected that postgraduate students will contribute to the philosophical life of the Department and the city through their attendance at and participation in these events.

It is particularly important that postgraduate students make every effort to take part in the Dublin Graduate Research Seminar and the annual Dublin Philosophy Graduate Conference. As part of the Ph.D. programme, these events give postgraduate students the opportunity to improve not only their own philosophical work, but also their presentational and dialectical skills.
