Alice Pinheiro Walla recieved her Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, in 2012. She has a Master of Letters (MLitt) from St. Andrews and a Magister degree(Mag.Phil.) from the University of Vienna, Austria. She has previously taught at the Georg–August University of Goettingen, Germany.
Her research interests lie in Immanuel Kant (especially his practical philosophy), moral philosophy, political philosophy and the history of philosophy. Her doctoral dissertation explores the systematic role of Kant's conception of happiness for his moral, legal and political thought.
