The Department of Philosophy hosted the tri-annual Donnellan Lectures in Philosophy from 6-8 May 2014. We were most glad to welcome Professor David Chalmers (ANU, NYU), one of the most exciting philosophers currently.

David Chalmers is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Centre for Consciousness at Australian National University. He is also Professor of Philosophy and co-director of the Center for Mind, Brain and Consciousness at New York University. Professor Chalmers's work is in the philosophy of mind and in related areas of philosophy and cognitive science. He is especially interested in consciousness, but is also interested in artificial intelligence and computation, in philosophical issues about meaning and possibility, and in the foundations of cognitive science and of physics.
