Hilary term (14 January – 5 April 2013)
1 February 2013 Submission of an essay (5,000 words) in relation to Michaelmas Term option for assessment
Note: this is only for students who have opted to take an MT option. It is not required for those taking the HT option or the specialist writing workshop or opting for an independent project.

Submission of an essay (5,000 words) on the course, The Author, the Book and the Marketplace : for assessment.
26 April 2013
Submission of an essay (5,000 words) in relation to Hilary Term special option or portfolio in relation to specialist writing workshop for assessment or essay (5,000 words) in relation to independent project: for assessment.
June 2013
Examiner's meeting to assess results of course work. Students consult with their supervisors on portfolios. This is on the basis of individual arrangement.
30 August 2013
Submission of two copies of portfolio (15,000 words).
N.B. Portfolios must be typed and bound in accordance with the University regulations, available from the Course Administrator.
Award of degree to successful candidates at Spring Commencements in February 2014.
