Call Slips
Since the introduction of ASR, call slips may only be used in certain circumstances. Call slips for material that can be requested by the user using ASR will be returned unfulfilled.
Unless specifically stated otherwise below, material from Stacks locations can be delivered to any Service Counter by using the appropriate call slip. Call slips are available from the Service Counters of all Library buildings.
Delivery Counters by Colour
BLUE = Berkeley/Lecky/Ussher Library
PINK = Hamilton Library
ORANGE = John Stearne Medical Library
GREEN = Early Printed Books and Special Collections
Trinity College Dublin Staff, Students, and Registered Visiting Readers
The items listed below can only be requested, at this time, using a call slip. None of these items can be borrowed.
- Prefixes: PER and SER
- Location: External Storage, Journals (however, all issues with this location should be available electronically)
- Prefix: OLS - use GREEN call slip. Must be read in the Early Printed Books Reading Room
- Location: Irish Archival Copy - use GREEN call slip. Must be read in the Early Printed Books Reading Room
- Location: Early Printed Books, Stacks - use GREEN call slip. Must be read in the Early Printed Books Reading Room
- Publication date: 1950 or before - use GREEN call slip. Must be read in the Early Printed Books Reading Room
Non-Registered Visiting Readers
- All material listed as Stacks
- Use BLUE call slips for delivery to the main Service Counter
- Use GREEN call slips for material that must be read in the Early Printed Books Reading Room:
