COST Action D42 Final Conference 2010

Impact of the Indoor Environment on the Preservation of our Moveable Heritage
08 - 09 November 2010
Trinity College Dublin
The Action aimed to explore the chemical interactions between cultural artifacts and indoor environmental conditions, and to provide results that would inform preventive conservation practice.
26 countries have been involved in the Action, undertaking field and laboratory research into the chemical impact of the environment on materials.
The Conference provided a platform for participating scientists to present research completed during the three years of activity, and to share the results with a wider community concerned with the protection of cultural heritage.
The conference provided an opportunity for new connections to be made that will strengthen and promote continued global research aimed at mitigating against the environmental risks that threaten our heritage.
