Biography

Steven Comerford has degrees from the University of Colorado (BA in Political Science), Mississippi State University (MPPA in Public Policy and Administration), and University of Kent (LLM in International law with International Relations).


As a graduate student at MSU, he was selected by the President of the United States to represent the U.S. interests for the future of space travel and exploration at the "Moon to Mars" Commission. He was also selected to represent the U.S. interests in new energy proposals talks for the future with the IAEA.


Steven's research topic at Trinity College will involve exploring the legal limits of hyper-globalised crime and terrorism through new media.

1. Finance/Legal Mentor - Deployed in Afghanistan 2011-2012

  • Lead U.S. Army Investigations Officer for Afghanistan National Army Special Operations Group.
  • Senior mentor and liaison for the Afghan National Army Commandos, Special Operations, the School of Excellence for Special Forces, Afghani Ministries of Finance and Defense.
  • Acted as the Equal Opportunity Officer and Uniformed Victim Advocate.
  • Convoy commander for over 100 missions throughout Afghanistan.
  • Created a five year $24 million ANASOC budget proposal; developed “Standard Operating Procedure” for all special operations concerning legal fiduciary responsibility and culpability within the Ministry of Finance Banking regulations, the Afghanistan Constitution, and the rule of law.
  • Performed additional duties, such as supervisor of construction of the Kabul Bank, CUAT (Command Unit Assessment Tool) action officer; reporting on all operations for nine Kandaks, Garrison, Brigade, School of Excellence and 1st and 2nd Special forces Kandaks for presentation to the International Joint Command (IJC) General Officer level.

2. Aide de Camp – Deployed in Afghanistan 2011

  • Served as the aide-de-camp to the Deputy to the Commander (DtCG), NATO Training Mission Afghanistan and Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan (NTM-A/CSTC-A), deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The main scope of operation was within Gender rights and amendment and creation of the Afghanistan constitution.

  • Independent legal advising including but not limited to: consultations regarding choice of investment vehicle, investment in former USSR countries, international trade, economics, corporate governance consulting, due diligence, and litigation.
