The AN(N)AMARIA Poetry Reading with Anamaria Crowe-Serrano, Annamaria Ferramosca and Riccardo Duranti, Wednesday 5th April,TCD Arts Building, Room 5052, 6 pm. Anamaria Crowe-Serrano and Annamaria Ferramosca read from their collection of poems, Paso Doble, a poetic dialogue in Italian and English, translated by Riccardo Duranti.

Continuing series of events and publications:
LERICI AND DUBLIN POETRY READINGS: An exchange of poets from Liguria and Ireland started in 2002. So far, Ciaran Carson, Brian Lynch, Eileán Ní Chuilleanáin and Macdara Woods travelled to Italy and gave readings in Lerici and La Spezia. Giuseppe Conte, Angelo Tonelli, Roberto Bugliani read in Dublin and Galway.
The exchange was organized by the Italian Department at Trinity College Dublin and Parco Letterario Eugenio Montale in association with the Italian Cultural Institute in 2002 and 2003, with the Irish Writers' Centre in 2002, with the Italian Department, National University of Ireland, Galway in 2003, and with Associazione Premio Lerici-Pea, the Cultural Council of the Regione Liguria, the Cultural Bureau of the Comune of Lerici and the Cultural Office of the Comune of La Spezia at various times over the three years. It is hoped that the initial three year cycle may continue.

A hundred Irish poets respond to Leopardi. The anthology Or volge l'anno, edited by Marco Sonzogni, was published in 1998.
A centenary study day on Leopardi was organised at Trinity College Dublin by the Italian Department in 1998. Also in 1998 we held the Savonarola Quincentenary Conference jointly organised with the Departments of French and Medieval History in Trinity College, the Italian Cultural Institute, Dublin, and the Irish branch of the Society for Renaissance Studies.
