Provost's Welcome Message

I am delighted to welcome you to the Green Pages website which will inform you on the efforts Trinity is making to raise environmental awareness in the College and to improve the quality of the Campus.

We have recently applied for Green Campus status, and, if we are successful, it will see Trinity become the first university in Dublin to ‘fly the Green Flag’ and be seen to ‘practice what it preaches’ in ensuring a sustainable environment for all.

While environmental initiatives have been on-going in Trinity for many years, involving both student and staff activities, this co-ordinated approach will ensure we capture what has been taking place and what still needs to be done. This will result in College maximising our commitment to sustainability and the Green Campus Programme.

I am fully committed to achieving a Green Campus; it is an important objective and one in which the College must play a leading role as one of the largest employers in Dublin and as an institution occupying a historic site in the city centre.

Please take some time to peruse these webpages and learn of the great work taking place in College and how you can participate.

Yours sincerely,

Patrick Prendergast
Provost
