Trinity College Green Week is an annual celebration of nature, and provides a forum for staff and students to share ideas on how to protect the environment, within and outside College. Nature events include guided walks where you can find out about the birds, trees and buildings in College and how they can be affected by human activity.
Other events are aimed at finding ways of minimising environmental impact, and include the Simon Perry memorial symposium, a debate, and a competition for the best environmental initiative. We rely on staff and student volunteers to provide ideas and make the week run smoothly. You can help choose a theme for Green Week, volunteer to help in one of the regular events, organise an event of your own, or enter the competition. If you are doing a survey with an environmental aspect, you might find it easier to collect data during Green Week, and we could help you to advertise your survey.
Green Week 2011 will take place from the 21st February to the 25th February 2011, a detailed programme has been published and is available here Green Week 2011 Programme of Events.
