R. B. McDowell Ussher Fellowship

The University of Dublin, Trinity College offers the R. B. McDowell Ussher Fellowship every three years.

What are the requirements for this Postgraduate Award?

The postgraduate Fellowship is available only to students registered for a Higher Degree by Research leading to a Ph.D. in Modern History. Preference will be given to candidates intending to work on the history of Britain or of relations between Britain and Ireland.

How much would I receive?

The Fellowship provides a sum of €16,680 per year for a period of three years to cover fees and maintenance. The Fellowship is sponsored by the London Trust for Trinity College Dublin, and is tenable for a period of three years at the School of Modern History, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
