Postgraduate Teaching Awards 2017
To recognise the substantial contribution that Trinity’s postgraduate students make to undergraduate teaching & learning through their roles as teaching assistants and demonstrators, the Graduate Studies Committee has approved the continuation of the Trinity Teaching Award for Postgraduate Students. This ran as a pilot in 2012/13.
Schools may nominate up to 3 postgraduate students for consideration by the selection panel, which will be chaired by the Dean of Graduate Studies and has cross-Faculty representation. Shortlisted postgraduate students will be invited to attend an interview during which they will give a demonstration of their teaching.
The nomination form below should be completed by the School (Section A) and the nominee (Section B) and submitted by the School to Jade.Concannon@tcd.ie in CAPSL. The deadline for 2017 is Friday, 6th October.
The successful candidates will each receive a cash prize and a commemorative plaque. The Graduate Students Union are supporting this initiative and the scheme is being run as a collaboration between the Graduate Studies Office and CAPSL.
