Research admissions

Trinity College Dublin welcomes applicants to the research register from highly qualified graduates at any time of the year. Candidates who are offered a place on the register will be invited to register from September or March annually.
To apply for the research register applicants are advised to contact the School or Discipline in which they wish to study in advance of making a formal online application.  Candidates should source and liaise with a prospective supervisor on their research proposal and should ascertain, where possible, if the School and supervisor have capacity to supervise their project.
Formal application to the research register must be submitted online through the online application system here and detailed instructions on how to complete an application form are available from the Academic Registry website here

Enquiries during the application process can be sent directly to the supervisor or to the Academic Registry at academic.registry@tcd.ie
