Sarah Heal has been awarded her Ph.D. for a thesis, "Palynological correlation of Mississippian (Carboniferous) stages in Western Europe and the USA" and is now working for Shell in Perth, Western Australia. Niall Paterson has been awarded a Ph.D. for his thesis, "Palynostratigraphy and palynofacies analysis of Upper Devonian and Mississippian strata of eastern USA". He is now working for Exxon in the USA.
