Gavin Kenny 2011 Geology graduate, has won the essay-writing category at the Undergraduate Awards Ceremony in Dublin Castle

Gavin Kenny, one of our 2011 graduates, has won the essay-writing category at the Undergraduate Awards Ceremony in Dublin Castle and was awarded the Oscar Wilde Medal from the President of Ireland, Mary McAleese (see picture). Gavin's essay (in the Agriculture & Environmental Sciences category) was entitled “A description of the Tapponier-Molnar model for major strike-slip extrusion of SE Asia during the late Cenozoic”.
