Geology on top of the download list in Chemical Geology

1st Most Dowloaded Chem Geol Article

A recent paper by Teresa Ubide, Cora McKenna, David Chew and Balz Kamber is top of the download list in the journal Chemical Geology.

In an SFI-ERC-funded project, the team of geochemists have optimised laser ablation ICP-MS (LA-ICP-MS) to obtain high-resolution images of the distribution of trace elements in magmatic crystals. These compositional images, or maps, make it possible to reconstruct pre-eruptive magma histories and unveil the triggers of volcanic eruptions.
