Goldschmidt 2015 Prague
September 2015
The TCD geochemists have just returned from a scholarly blast of talks, posters, dumplings, beer, and local geology at Goldschmidt 2015! This conference is the largest international geochemistry meeting and we headed to Prague with a 22 person strong Irish contingent. The 5-day itinerary included multiple parallel sessions covering topics from ocean geochemistry and geobiology to mineral physics and cosmochemistry. We gave 13 talks and 9 posters in 20 different sessions, with 15 of those presentations given by postgraduates - a great achievement for Trinity Geosciences. In fact, our only fail was taking the group photo into the sun! We’re aiming for another successful year of research and, although we might not all make it over to Japan next year, we’ll see everyone in Paris for Goldschmidt 2017.
