WelcomeThis website contains information regarding my research and teaching activities. My primary research focus is the nature of the climate-ocean relationship at multi-decadal to millennial timescales. I am working on the development and application of high-precision methodologies capable of reconstructing late Holocene changes in sea level. One of the aims of this research is to characterise the spatial patterns and coherence of relative sea-level change, and to examine these records for climate signatures. Whilst my principal interest is in the reconstruction of past environmental conditions, this research has diverse applications, including more contemporary issues such as coastal management and the assessment of risk from future climate change. To this end, I currently collaborate with ecologists, archaeologists and other coastal scientists around the world. |
