Welcome to the Centre for European Studies, in Trinity College, Dublin, established in 1987. The Centre for European Studies is an administrative umbrella co-ordinating the contribution of the Departments of French, German, Italian, Russian (including Polish Area studies), Spanish, History, Political Science, Economics and Sociology to its interdisciplinary undergraduate programme. The Moderatorship in European Studies is a full-time four-year undergraduate course of study, which is broad in focus, covering the continent of Europe, including Russia, from the Renaissance to the present. In terms of intellectual disciplines, it is firmly rooted in the humanities with a strong language component.

European Studies is a full-time four-year interdisciplinary Undergraduate course of study administered by the Centre for European Studies.

One-year Visiting Students may be accepted into the Senior Freshman year.

The Junior Sophister year of European Studies is a compulsory year abroad: SOCRATES and other exchanges.
