Paula Keatley (BA., Dublin, M.A., York)
Paula Keatley completed her BA in English Studies at TCD in 2008, before entering the MA program in Nineteenth-Century Literature and Culture at the University of York. Her MA dissertation examined scenes of discipline in Charlotte Brontë's fiction. Her doctoral research is on the relationship between theodicy and the nineteenth-century novel, with a focus on Charlotte Brontë and George Eliot. This work is funded by the Irish Research Council for the Arts and Humanities (2010-13). In 2011-12, she will be tutoring on the SF ‘Victorianism’ course.
