Florence Impens B.A. (Paris 3-Sorbonne Nouvelle), M.Phil. (Paris 3-Sorbonne Nouvelle)
Florence Impens studied English and French Literatures in Paris 3- Sorbonne Nouvelle in France, where she gained two B.A. (or Maîtrise) degrees, both with Honours, in 2006. She then completed an M.Phil. (Hons) in Irish Writing in the same university in 2007.
She is currently working on a Ph.D. thesis on modern Irish poetry and the Classics in which she focuses on Seamus Heaney, Michael Longley and Derek Mahon.
She has previously tutored in the French Department on JF and SF literature courses and in 2010 will be tutoring in SF Modernism and JF Irish Writing.
