Erin Sebo, B.A. (Monash), M.A. (Monash), Ph.D. (Dublin).

Erin Sebo studied English Literature and Renaissance History for an Honours degree in Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, gaining her B.A. (Hons) in 2001 and coming Dux of English. She went on to take an M.A. Her Ph.D. thesis was on conceptions of Creation in riddle poems from Symphosius to the Child Ballads. Her publications include 'Beowulf Hondbona: the Literary Context for Emending Line 1520b' (Neophilologus), 'The Creation Riddle and Anglo-Saxon Cosmology' (MANCASS), 'Solving “The Windhover”: the Anglo-Saxon Roots of Hopkins’ Imagination' (Colloquy), 'Was Symphosius an African?’ (Notes and Queries), and 'Symphosius 93.2: A New Interpretation' (Harvard Studies in Classical Philology). She has also written entries for the The Literary Encyclopedia on Symphosius and the Exeter Book Riddles.
In 2011-12, she will tutor on the SF ‘Fables and Other Narratives’ course, and on JF courses ‘Beginnings of English Poetry’ and 'Medieval and Renaissance Romance'.
