Emily O'Brien, B.A. (Dublin).

Emily O'Brien's doctoral research is focused on privacy in early modern drama and cheap print, in particular, domestic tragedy and murder pamphlets and ballads. The thesis is provisionally entitled "Privacy and Exposure in Domestic Tragedy, c.1590-1608". She is currently in receipt of a postgraduate scholarship from the Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences (2008-2011) and she was also the recipient of a Trinity College Dublin postgraduate studentship (2007-2008). She has taught on undergraduate courses including "Sixteenth-Century Identities" and "Shakespeare: Text, Stage, Screen".
