Conor Reid B.A. (N.U.I.), M.Phil. (Dublin)

Conor Reid graduated from U.C.D. in 2006 with a B.A. International in English and Italian, which included a year in the University La Sapienza, Rome. Following this, he completed the M.Phil. in Popular Literature in Trinity where his dissertation was on virtual utopias in cyberpunk literature. He is currently in his third year as a PhD student, under the supervision of Dr. Darryl Jones. In general, his work focuses on the interaction between science and the popular literature of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and, in particular, on the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs.


In 2010-11, he will be tutoring on the SF courses on Victorianism and Non-Realist Writing.
