Biography

Katherine Salvador Cisneros is an international PhD full time research student. She has been awarded a scholarship from the government of Ecuador, her home country, to do her doctoral studies. She holds a degree in Aquaculture Engineering and a Masters in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Katherine is an Associated Professor with a tenure in one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America, the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL). She is a passionate teacher, researcher and a full-time parent of two adolescents.

Higher education; gender in education; second language acquisition; success in higher education; reflective professional practice; critical thinking; special education needs; voices in education; applied comics.

Qualifications

  • Volunteering for the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) in Mullingar Centre, since September 2014. Assisting horse riding therapy with children from the Midlands.
