Postgraduate Research Conference 2018 | Call for abstracts
The 9th Annual Postgraduate Research Conference begins on Friday, 18 May from 1:30 am - 7:30 pm in the Arts Building, and Saturday, 19 May from 9:30 am - 5:30 pm in the Trinity Longroom Hub. It is open to all postgraduate researchers (full and part-time, current and submitted).
Friday is about the postgraduate researcher. It will start with afternoon workshops that will inspire and enrich, motivate and encourage, no matter what point you are at in your research. The evening session will include poster presentations, awards, and a reception at the Pav.
Saturday will include morning and afternoon paper presentations, including PechaKucha. We will provide light refreshments and lunch, as well as the return of the much talked about breakout session discussing the good, bad and ugly of PhD research.
We will conclude our research showcase with a reception immediately following at 5:30 pm.
You are warmly invited to submit an abstract for one of our exciting presentations: poster, paper, or PechaKucha. What is a PechaKucha?? Similar to a Thesis-in-Three, a PechaKucha is a Japanese presentation style in which 20 vibrant slides with little to no text, of your research are shown for 20 seconds each (6 minutes and 40 seconds in total). You rely on your speaking skills and content knowledge to present. The format keeps presentations concise, fun and fast-paced.
Submit your abstract by Friday, the 2nd of March by clicking the link HERE.
