Drama Festival | 3rd March 2018
The Association for Drama in Education (ADEI) is organising an important drama festival to build on practices in areas such as EAL, SEN, primary and post-primary, formal and informal educational settings, etc. Workshops and practical games and exercises in these areas will be offered as a sort of refresher course with ideas that can be used in classrooms and settings.
Dr Carmel OSullivan has been invited to participate in this event to share some of the latest research on creativity in the education system and in wider society. Dr OSullivan will argue for the importance of using an active and creative approach to curriculum study at all levels of the education system using the arts and in particular, a drama approach.
The event will be followed by a plenary panel discussion led by Dr Annie O'Breachain (Chairperson of ADEI) to discuss some of the important issues in their field.
The event takes place on Saturday 3rd March in DCU Institute of Education, St Patrick's Campus, Drumcondra.
