• (Data sets for econometrics) This link gives a description of a large number of data sets that have been analysed in various journal articles.  Many have also been used for illustative purposes in various textbooks.   Some of the data sets are panel data sets and might be suitablefor the first project.   The data sets may be available on the journal or  textbook website. If, after consulting the literature, you wish to use one of the data sets but you are unable to access the data it wil be possible to convert the data from the R binary format on the R website to a format which can be imported to Stata.  (R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics.)
