Carol Newman's Homepage
Dr. Carol Newman received a B.A. in economics from Trinity College Dublin in 1998. She was awarded a Walsh Fellowship from Teagasc for her doctoral research and received her Ph.D. from Trinity College Dublin in July 2002. From September 2001 to August 2002 she was employed as a Research Fellow in the Department conducting post-doctoral research for the Department of Agriculture. She joined the academic staff of the Department in September 2002. Her current teaching responsibilities include SF Economy of Ireland, JS Welfare Economics and Graduate Econometrics. Her main research interests are in applied econometrics, specifically in the area of efficiency and productivity analysis and in the modelling of household behaviour.
