SER events: Mr Dominick Chilcott, the British Ambassador & Stephen Collins speak to the SER.

The Student Economic Review is delighted to announce that Dominick Chilcott, the British Ambassador to Ireland, will be coming to Trinity to speak to the SER on February 20th 2014. He will be joined by Stephen Collins, Political Editor of the Irish Times. They will lead a discussion on Britain, Ireland and Europe in what promises to be a fascinating evening. There will be a limited number of tickets for this exclusive event, available through the link at the bottom of this page. Dominick Chilcott has led an illustrious career in the British Foreign Office. He has been Ambassador to Ireland since 2012. Prior to this, he held positions in Europe, including Director of the EU Directorate. He served as High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and as Deputy Head of Mission to the United States, and was Ambassador to Iran for six weeks before diplomatic relations were suspended in 2011. Stephen Collins is a renowned award-winning Irish political journalist. He has been Political Editor of the Irish Times since 2006. He previously served as Political Editor of the Sunday Tribune. He has written a number of books on Irish politics, including The Power Game: Ireland Under Fianna Fáil, and Breaking the Mould: How the PDs Changed Irish Politics.
