Programme Content - MSc

In the first semester all students take three mandatory modules:

• Work and employment in Europe
• Industrial relations and employment policy in Europe
• Research methods

In the second semester students take two mandatory modules:

• Survey data analysis in employment studies
• Designing Research in Employment Studies

They take at least four of the following modules:

• Inequality and discrimination at the workplace 
• Migration and the European labour market
• Active labour market policies in Europe
• Skills, education and work
• Employment policy in Ireland
• Management of labour migration
• Applied regression analyses in employment and migration studies
• Qualitative research methods in employment studies

Students proceeding to the MSc. complete an individual dissertation
