Speaking at the event Mary Harney said: "Trinity SMF is a fantastic educational resource, educating undergraduates in risk management, investments decisions and business analysis."

Trinity Student Managed Fund is Ireland's first entirely student run investment fund. Its mandates are to provide educational resources to future Trinity graduates in both the hard skills of risk management, investments decisions and business analysis as well as the softer skills of public speaking, teamwork and leadership.

The fund serves as a platform to entering the highest level careers in Ireland for Trinity students and holds an additional mandate to give back to the Trinity community, hosting events such as the Leadership Perspective series and donating a proportion of profits to the Trinity Access Programme, which strengthens opportunities for third level access to education.

The event was organised by Cliodhna O'Connell, Chief Operating Officer, Trinity SMF, Shaun Collins, Chief Executive Officer, Trinity SMF, and members of Trinity Student Managed Fund. The event was sponsored by Enterprise Ireland, Trinity Association and Trust and the Trinity Business Alumni.
