Christmas Term Dates and Closure Arrangements

The Hilary teaching term begins on Monday 16th January 2012. Students are advised to check the College Calendar for details of when teaching resumes for specific courses.

The College will be closed from the end of business hours on Thursday 22nd December 2011 to the start of normal business hours on Tuesday 3rd January 2012. The following closure arrangements will apply:



Front Gate
Front Gate will open and close as normal except on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th December 2011, when all gates will remain closed.  On Saturday 31st December 2011 (New Year's Eve) Front Gate will be closed from 1800 to 0800 on 1st January 2012.  Residents may enter and leave College via this gate during these closure periods.


Pearse St. West (traffic gate)
This gate will be closed from 1830 on Thursday 22nd December 2011 to 0800 on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.


Pearse St. West (pedestrian gate)
Accessible to key holders only.  This gate will be ‘double locked’ from 1800 on Saturday 31st December 2011 (New Year's Eve) to 0800 on Sunday 1st January 2012.


Lincoln Place (traffic gate)
This gate will be open from 0800 to 2400 daily except on Sunday 25th December and Monday 26th December 2011 when all gates will remain closed.  On Saturday 31st December 2011 (New Year's Eve) this gate will be closed from 1800 to 0800 on Sunday 1st January 2012.


Lincoln Place (pedestrian gate)
As for Lincoln Place traffic Gate.


Arts Building/Nassau St. (pedestrian gate)
This entrance will be closed from 2230 on Thursday 22nd December 2011 to 0800 on Tuesday 3rd January 2012. (Note: This gate will be available for use during the normal week-end evening closure of Front Gate).


Moyne (pedestrian gate)
Closed from 1800 on Thursday 22nd December 2011 to 0800 on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.


Pearse Street Gate East (Pedestrian Gate at CRANN)
This gate will be open from 0700 to 1900 on Friday 23rd December. Swipe access only from 1900 on Friday 23rd December 2011 to 0700 on Tuesday 3rd January 2012 with the exception of Sunday 25th and Monday 26th December 2011 when all gates remain closed.  There will be no access on Saturday 31st December 2011 (New Year's Eve) from 1800 to 0800 on Sunday 1st January 2012.


College buildings
All College buildings will close on Thursday 22nd December 2011 (normal business hours) and will re-open at the appropriate times on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.
