David Dier Memorial Prize 2010

Management Science and Information Systems Studies student, Anna Watters, of the School of Computer Science and Statistics was the winner of this year’s David Dier Memorial Prize for her final year project on Attitudes towards Family Related Leave in Ireland. The prize of €1,500 which is sponsored by IBM was recently awarded to Anna at her graduation ceremony.
Presenting Anna with her prize, Programme Manager of the IBM technology Campus, James Flynn stated: "IBM is privileged to be supporting the David Dier Memorial Prize over the past six years, which is awarded to the best final year student project within the Management Science Information Systems Studies Course. We find this course is most relevant to IT practitioners as it provides a combination of Computing and Business content."
