Trinity College Dublin employs a total number of 2,860 (Full-Time Equivalent/FTE) staff.
The number of core-funded staff is 1,726 (FTE), of which 676 (FTE) are Academic staff and 1,050 (FTE) are Non-Academic staff (Library, technical, administrative, and other support services).
The number of Research staff funded from externally-derived grant income is 721 (FTE) of which 667 (FTE) are Academic Research Fellows and Research Assistants and 54 (FTE) are Non-Academic (technical, administrative & other support services).
The number of staff funded from commercial and other externally derived income is 413 (FTE) of which 61 (FTE) are Academic Staff and 352 (FTE) are Non-Academic staff
