The Funding Statements for the year ended 30 September 2010 as prepared on the agreed harmonised basis for the Irish University sector were approved by the Board on 26 January 2011. The Funding Statements represent Part I of the financial reporting requirements of the Universities Act and reflect the core teaching/unfunded research and research grants and contracts activity in the Income & Expenditure Account.

The Consolidated Financial Statements, which represent Part II of the financial reporting requirements and are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards, are expected to be finalised in 2011.

The College reported an excess of income over expenditure of €0.18 million, with accumulated core funding reserves standing at €0.15 million at 30 September 2010.
