Description
This site contains textual and visual materials for the study of ancient Greek civilization. The Perseus web site contains the full texts of the Perseus art catalogs, Greek vases, coins, and sculptures. Perseus also contains a texts archive, with the works of over 30 ancient Greek authors, in Greek and in English translation; morphological databases and lexica; a browser which locates objects by attributes and keywords; and a searchable index to the entire site (An excellent scholastic site for upper level)

Ancient Greek Artefacts
Description
This site is supplied with image of the ancient Greek artefacts in the Greek Rooms on the Ground and First floors of British Museum. As students cannot access to these artefacts, this site provides virtual images and information for them. You can click the teachersÕ resource packs and worksheets (they are in Microsoft Publisher format). Also, planning resources and Greek Bingo Game materials in Adobe Acrobat format can be downloaded from this site.

It is a well-known site which is linked to other resources of ancient history.

The Olympic Games in the ancient Hellenic World
Description
This site offers a variety of information about the ancient Olympic games, including facts on the history of the games and the various games that were played. This site also features four interviews with experts on the ancient Olympics and a "fictional memoir" of an actual Olympic competitor. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy reading about the rules used in the ancient versions of several games, including boxing, running and wrestling.
