Welcome!

The SFI Tetrapyrrole Laboratory is a world leader in porphyrin research set in the School of Chemistry, Trinity College Dublin.

Our research interests include the development of new methods for the synthesis and functionalisation of a wide variety of porphyrin  compounds and their physical, structural and biological characterisation. This work is geared toward both leaps in the understanding of their fundamental chemistries and their devolvement into useful materials for society in a wide diversity of applications. Look around this site to find out more.
