Research postgraduate courses usually last a number of years, depending on the level of qualification. The main characteristic of a research postgraduate course is that you will complete an original and independent piece of research, which may be in a specialised area related to your undergraduate degree.

A variety of workshops from the Planning and Managing Your Research and Your Career module for research PhD students in all disciplines will be delivered by Student Learning Development and the Careers Advisory Service this year.

They will take place on various dates throughout the term.
