GradLink Mentoring is an opportunity for Senior Sophister students to connect with and be mentored by graduates of the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies. GradLink Mentoring will be launched with a wine reception on Wednesday, 9th October 2013 in the Long Room Hub. You have the opportunity to be matched with a graduate of the school for purposes of assisting you in your career development. A little more on mentoring:
- Mentoring occurs when there is a relationship for the purpose of passing on knowledge, experience and offering advice.
- The mentor shares his/her personal experiences, advises, guides and informs the undergraduate student or mentee.
- The mentors are graduates who have worked for a number of years and have been identified as role models by the discipline.
- The mentors and mentees meet at least three times over one academic year.
