CAS Buddy Scheme
Do you need support with language used in job applications?
The CAS Buddy Scheme provides language support for job applications (eg CVs, cover letters, application forms) to international students for whom English is not their first language.
CAS Buddies are trained native English speaking volunteers and will review your application by email, making suggestions about grammar, spelling, phrasing and punctuation. For feedback on the quality of your application, please contact your Careers Adviser.
This is how the CAS Buddy Scheme works:
- International students email Ciara Grimes to request that the language in their application is reviewed at least 1 week before the application deadline
- We send your application to a trained CAS Buddy
- Your Buddy checks your application and comments on your use of grammar, spelling, phrasing and punctuation
- Your Buddy returns your application to you by email within 3 working days
