The Careers Advisory Service in collaboration with the Law School in Trinity College organises a Law Careers Fair. We run this event as the law students have a very busy lecture timetable and we identified this as a good time to get a good attendance as the lecturers concerned have agreed to facilitate students attending at this time.

Costs:

  • Stand + listing in Fair Booklet - €450.00
  • Stand + listing + 1 page (A5) colour advert - €630.00
  • ½ page (A5) colour advert (for non-fair attendees) - €330.00
  • All costs subject to 23% VAT

No fair scheduled for 2017/18 academic year.

Thank you for your interest in hiring your teachers from Trinity College Dublin.

We will not be running a Teaching Fair in 2017/18 academic year but in its place we will produce an 'Options Teaching' newsletter. The 2017 newsletter was emailed out to all PME students in January 2017 and contained a number of relevant and informative articles and advertisements from organisations offering teaching opportunities in Ireland, the UK and Abroad.

If you are interested in submitting an advert to the next 'Options Teaching' newsletter (2018) contact the Careers Advisory Service.

Current Options Teaching Newsletter (January 2017)

As many of you are aware we will not be running a Teaching Fair in 2017 but in its place we will be producing a newsletter, entitled ‘Options Teaching’ which will be emailed out to all final year PME (post-primary) students late January 2017 and which will contain a number of relevant and informative articles and advertisements from organisations offering teaching opportunities in Ireland, the UK and Abroad.  The newsletter will also be circulated to PME (Primary) students of our associated college, Marino Institute of Education (MIE) and to students interested in TEFL.

These PME students have the benefit of having undertaken two substantial school placement modules over two years in two different settings. Furthermore, they have engaged with learning at the forefront of educational research and have themselves conducted a research project and written a dissertation in an area of educational research related to their teaching subject and often tightly related to their practice and the realities of teaching in second level schools. Most of these students are qualified to teach at least two curriculum subjects.  A number already have postgraduate qualifications in their subject disciplines or come with a breadth of professional experience in their subject disciplines. Approximately 120 are expected to graduate from the following subject areas Business Studies, English, Gaeilge, Geography, History, Maths, Modern Languages, Music, Religious Education & Science.

You are invited to contribute an advertisement to the newsletter. The cost for advertising in the publication is €400.00 + VAT.

The Newsletter is A4 portrait, and the measurements for each advert are: H x W: 135mm x 186mm (5.2” x 7.3”) landscape (eg ½ A4 portrait page).   You can send the advert to fit an A4 landscape page and we will reduce to the correct size.  Adverts should be sent preferably in .png form but .pdf can be converted.  If you are sending plain text (eg .docx) don’t forget to send your logo (in .png format).  From our experience including informative content, TCD graduate testimonials will greatly enhance the quality of your advert.

Closing date for submission of advertisements is Monday 9th January 2017.

If you are interested in advertising in the publication please complete the information below and return it to me BEFORE Monday 19th DECEMBER 2016.  The information is necessary for your organisation to be included in the booklet.

We will not be running a Nursing Fair in 2017/18 academic year but in its place we will produce an 'Options Nursing' newsletter. The 2017 newsletter was emailed out to all nursing students in June 2017 and contained a number of relevant and informative articles and advertisements from organisations offering nursing opportunities in Ireland, the UK and Abroad.

Please contact Simone Cameron-Coen, Civic Engagement Officer if you are interested in attending.

The Annual Trinity College Dublin Volunteer Fair will take place on - date to be advised - and will be a chance for organisations to showcase non-fundraising* voluntary opportunities to the College community. Please note the terms and conditions to participate in this event below:

  1. It is not possible to showcase pure fundraising opportunities (bucket shaking, flag days, bag packing etc.) as there are already a variety of worthy campus based causes and fundraising activities which students collect money for. Instead we look for well supported, fully insured opportunities which help students develop their confidence, transferable skills (communication, teambuilding etc.) and/or which enhance their understanding of their area of study.

  2. All organisations attending the event must endorse the TCD Volunteer Charter (DOC 47KB) in their interactions with TCD Volunteers. The document is based on the Volunteering Ireland Charter for Effective Volunteering and it is likely that you already uphold the principles outlined therein as part of your volunteer programmes. Please also bear in mind that due to student exams, class timetables and vacation periods, student volunteers may have restricted availability at certain times of the year. For more on this, click on https://www.tcd.ie/Community/organisations/volunteering/designing.php

  3. Any organisations which hope to showcase opportunities to volunteer abroad should become signatories to the Comhlámh Code of Good Practice for Volunteering Sending organisations if this is not already the case. For more information on the Code, click on http://www.comhlamh.org/code-of-good-practice-2/.

Please contact Simone Cameron-Coen, Civic Engagement Officer if you are interested in attending.
