Sean Gannon, Director & Careers Adviser
Sean is Director of the Careers Advisory Service and is responsible for students from the School of Natural Sciences, School of Biochemistry & Immunology and the School of Genetics & Microbiology.
Sean's original degree was in Chemistry and he has also completed an MBA. His early career was spent in the human resources functions at ICI plc and at Nokia. Before coming to Trinity he was a director of KPMG's Executive Search and Selection practice in Dublin.

Mary O'Donnell, Careers Adviser
Mary is jointly responsible, with Cliona Hillery, for the School of Engineering, the School of Computer Science & Statistics, the School of Mathematics, and the School of Physics. Mary works with the other Advisers on the Personal Development Programme, and with Jackie Pryor on Careers Information Centre issues.
Mary has an Arts degree, Masters in Information and Library Studies and a H.Dip in Guidance and Counselling. Before coming to Trinity she was an Information Specialist with Irish Life and formerly worked as Head of the Technical Information Service with FAS - The Training and Employment Authority.

Orlaith Tunney, Careers Adviser
Orlaith is responsible for the Schools of Drama, Film & Music / Education / English / Languages, Literatures & Cultural Studies / Linguistic, Speech & Communication Sciences and Religions, Theology & Ecumenics. Orlaith works with Jackie Pryor on the website and with other Advisers on the Personal Development Programme.
Orlaith has a BSc Food Science & Technology and a HDip Guidance & Counselling, both from UCC and HDip Third Level Teaching & Learning from DIT. Before coming to Trinity she worked as a Food Technologist & Sales Executive in mainland Europe.

Sarah Ryan, Careers Adviser
Sarah is responsible for students from the Schools of History and Humanities, Psychology, Chemistry, Neuroscience, and the Faculty of Health Sciences (Schools of Nursing, Dental Science, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Medicine). Sarah is editor of "The Trinity Careers Service Guide", and delivers the credit bearing Personal and Career Development Programme in a number of her departments. She manages the Careers Support for International Students project and is joint co-ordinator (with Student Learning Development) of the ‘Planning and Managing your Research and your Career’ generic skills module for postgraduate research students.
A TCD graduate, Sarah has a BA in Psychology and Sociology, a Post-graduate Diploma in Statistics and an MSc in Educational Guidance and Counselling. Prior to working in Trinity, she was the Senior Project Officer at the National Centre for Guidance in Education (a government agency which supports and develops guidance in education), and previous to that she worked in the market research industry. |

Cliona Hillery, Careers Adviser
Cliona shares responsibility with Mary O’Donnell for the School of Engineering, School of Computer Science and Statistics, and Schools of Mathematics and Physics. Cliona also works with other advisers on the Personal Development Programme and oversees the VACWORK programme.
Cliona holds a Bachelor of Commerce (International) with Spanish from UCD and a Masters in Education from Trinity College Dublin, specialising in Career Guidance & Counselling. Previously, Cliona worked in Smurfit School of Business, UCD, both as a Careers Adviser and earlier as a Project Manager. Prior to working in UCD Cliona worked as a Senior Management Consultant for Accenture, both in London and Dublin.

Fiona Hayes, Careers Adviser
Fiona is responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the School of Business, School of Law, School of Social Sciences and Philosophy (Departments of Economics, Sociology, Philosophy, and Political Science) and the School of Social Work and Social Policy. She also works with other Advisers on the PhD generic skills module.
A TCD graduate, Fiona has a BA in Psychology and Music, and an MSc in Occupational Psychology from the Institute of Work Psychology, University of Sheffield. In addition she holds BPS Level A and B in psychometric testing. She is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Career Education, Information and Guidance in Higher Education at the University of Warwick. Prior to working in Trinity, she worked in various market research and human resource roles in Bank of Scotland (Ireland), Lansdowne Market Research and Radio Teilifís Éireann. |

Marielle Kelly, Careers Adviser
Marielle is responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate International Students across all the schools in the college. She also has specific responsibility for the MSC in Global Health, MPhil Applied Linguistics, MPhil English Language Teaching, MPhil Linguistics, MPhil Speech and Language Processing, MSc Computer Science (Interactive Entertainment Technology), MSc Computer Science (Networks and Distributed Systems), MPhil Race, Ethnicity & Conflict and the MSc International Politics.
Marielle has BA in European Studies and an MA in Education in Guidance and Counselling, both from Trinity College Dublin. She also has a Certificate in Basic Counseling Skills from NUI Maynooth, and Level A psychometric testing certification. She previously worked in a number of roles in the education and not for profit sectors, and worked with Business in the Community’s Employment for People from Immigrant Communities (EPIC) programme for three years prior to joining Trinity College’s Careers Advisory Service. |

Róisín McGrogan, Civil Engagement Officer
Róisín works with students and staff from all disciplines to support and facilitate engagement in the community through volunteering activity, curriculum- based and accredited service programmes and collaborative research projects of mutual benefit to the university and the community. She assists College participants in the European Voluntary Service, Gaisce - The Presidents’ Award and maintains the www.tcd.ie/Community website and monthly volunteering opportunities bulletin.
Róisín has a Bachelor of Civil Law and Language Diplomas in French and Irish all from the National University of Ireland Galway. Róisín is an active volunteer with Chrysalis Community Drug Project and has experience of volunteering abroad in Thailand, Kenya and India. Prior to coming to Trinity, Róisín worked as a research assistant in the Centre for Disability Law and Policy.
