Research Bursaries |
| |
The CMA will offer three research bursaries for 2013/2014 to allow college postgraduate users pursue research work in the CMA laboratories. Two bursaries cover Transmission or Scanning Electron Microscopy and a third bursary covers Transmission Electron Microscopy.
Applications for the bursaries must be submitted as a PDF document (max. 4 pages), this document must detail the proposed work schedule and include details/links of any supporting literature. The bursaries are intended to assist research in areas where funding is limited. Candidates are expected to provide evidence of funding difficulties and circumstances, this should be in the form of a supporting letter from their project supervisor.
The closing date for applications is Friday 1st November, applications should be made by email to:-
Dr. Derek Nolan, cmainfo@tcd.ie
The Board appointed CMA committee will decide the Bursary awards. The successful candidates will be expected to present their results at the Microscopy Society of Ireland meeting (MSI) annual symposium. CMA reserves the right to use images, data and presentations for publicity and promotional use. Work on the projects must start within 3 months of the bursary award. Receipt of application is deemed as acceptance in full of these terms.
